About us:
We are the Ascott Estate, a 16th century former hunting box filled with exquisite art and surrounded by extensive gardens, woods, a cricket ground, tearoom, and other properties. A year-round calendar of seasonal events, cricket matches, and stunning views and walks ensures a constant flow of visitors of all ages enjoying the beautiful ambiance.
Ascott Estate is a 4,400-acre rural country Estate cantered in Wing, Buckinghamshire. The House and Gardens are open to the public between March and September and are a popular local attraction with over 50,000 visitors enjoying the magnificent house and gardens each year
This interesting and challenging role will involve the following tasks, but is not limited to:
• Responsible for planning and developing the visitor experience at Ascott House and Gardens and responding to visitor feedback.
• To take the lead on all visitor-related projects on the Estate and will be an essential part of business planning with the Estate Management team.
• Full responsibility for event management from creation to event delivery
• Manage operational, project and delegated budgets, including responsibility for setting, monitoring, and achieving stretching targets and maximising income.
• Manage productive partnerships with wide range of external voluntary sector partners and stakeholders.
• Identify and manage visitor risks to the business and take responsibility for ensuring the visitors to Ascott are safe.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience coaching and developing teams
• Take pride in delivering excellent customer service
• Experience in managing budgets and delivering financial targets
• Proven record of success in event management and business development
Desirable Requirements:
• A Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline e.g., tourism, visitor attractions, hospitality, heritage management or business management.
We pay a very generous 10% into your pension. 25 day’s holidays plus bank holidays completes the picture.
